Summer rain is falling down
On the roads, the grass, the ground
Breath of chill in summer's heat --
Puddles lie in glassy sheets.
Dancing pools on balconies
Coats of dew upon the leaves.
Showers fall from shaken branch
Cool and liquid avalanche.
Sol returns; his light is strong
Summer rain has come and gone.
